Today I set out to get the cowling brackets riveted.
To do this, I had to remove the engine, main gear and engine mount. I sounds like a big job, but it actually didn’t take more than an hour.

After clecoing on the cowl attach strips, I could hang the lower cowl and trace the fastener holes from the strips.

With the holes marked, I could drill them with a stepdrill.

Next I riveted on the receptacles.

The lower cowl installed with camlocs. I am very pleased with the result. 🙂
