First, I noticed I still needed to make a couple of snap-bushing holes for wiring in the bulkhead frames. There was no pilot holes for these, so I measured out and pilot drilled the holes in the first frame, then used a sheet of aluminium to trace these pilot holes to the other frame.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1476\" title=\"bulkheads-024-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-024-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-024-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1453\" title=\"bulkheads-011-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-011-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-011-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">All four holes drilled&#8230;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1454\" title=\"bulkheads-012-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-012-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-012-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Next I countersank the\u00a0bulkhead flange rivet holes.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1455\" title=\"bulkheads-013-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-013-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-013-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1456\" title=\"bulkheads-014-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-014-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-014-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">After that I dug out the control column bracket, measured out the top holes and drilled them.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1457\" title=\"bulkheads-015-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-015-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-015-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then I bolted them to the bulkhead spar, and squared them to the spar flanges.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1458\" title=\"bulkheads-016-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-016-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-016-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">With the brackets firmly tightened and squared to the spar, I could use the spar as guide to back-drill the lower holes. Here they have been drilled, and temporary bolted to the spar. (I intentionally used short bolts, so they didn&#8217;t touch to nylon lock in the nuts.)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1459\" title=\"bulkheads-017-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-017-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-017-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now it was time to arrange the flight sticks. They come with brass bushings that have to be drilled up to \u00bc&#8221;, then adjusted in lenght to fit in the bellcrank openings. The lenght is easily adjusted by putting the bushing in the drill press, then pulling\u00a0it down onto a file resting on the drill table.\u00a0I&#8217;m sorry, I forgot to take pictured while I did all this.. I will try and take some later to explain.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1460\" title=\"bulkheads-018-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-018-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-018-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Next small project, was to make two spacers out of this piece of tubing.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1461\" title=\"bulkheads-019-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-019-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-019-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They had to be exactly 1.438&#8243;<br \/>\nI used the same procedure as with the control stick bushings.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1462\" title=\"bulkheads-020-400x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/bulkheads-020-400x.jpg\" alt=\"bulkheads-020-400x\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The spacers installed. I had to enlarge the holes of one of the frames to \u00bc&#8221;, I did this by aligning the two spars by inserting the wing bolts, then using the other spar as drill guide.
