Yesterday I went and got a nice big steelbar from my friend Thomas, for back-riveting the trailing edge.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">First I removed the U-channels and cleaned the holes and dimples for sealing. Then I put rivets in all the holes and taped them in place.\u00a0After that\u00a0I flipped the rudder over and arranged it so it was lying nice and flat against the steelbar.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/rudder-048-400x533.jpg\" alt=\"rudder-048-400\u00d7533.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">I started riveting every ten&#8217;th rivet, but only a little bit. Then I continued riveting the middle one between those already set until they were all done.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/rudder-049-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"rudder-049-400\u00d7300.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">After that I flipped the rudder over and finished the rivets from the other side. I am very pleased with the result, the trailing edge stayed perfectly straight.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/rudder-050-400x533.jpg\" alt=\"rudder-050-400\u00d7533.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/rudder-051-400x533.jpg\" alt=\"rudder-051-400\u00d7533.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Finally I rolled the leading edges with a \u00bd&#8221; steel pipe. They still need a bit of fine tuning before they get riveted.
