The left elevator is a little different than the right one, since it has a trimtab, but besides that they are alike. I decided to prepare the parts for both elevators at the same time.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The first thing to do, is cut the skin stiffeners to length, they are pretty much like the rudder stiffeners.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-001-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-001-400\u00d7300.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Here they are all cut to length. They still need to be tapered, which I will do tomorrow at work on our bench shears, like I did with the rudder stiffeners.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-002-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-002-400\u00d7300.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Then I matchdrilled the reinforcement plates to the spars.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-003-400x533.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-003-400\u00d7533.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">After that I prepared all the ribs.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-004-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-004-400\u00d7300.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The elevator horn ribs gets matchdrilled.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-005-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-005-400\u00d7300.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Then these horns gets matchdrilled to the spars.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rv-7.dk\/wp-content\/elevators-006-400x533.jpg\" alt=\"elevators-006-400\u00d7533.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Each horn has a lead counterweight installed.
