I spent some more time preparing firewall parts tonight. First I prepared a doubler that reinforces the firewall where the brake lines will go through.

I marked the centerlines then taped it in place.

After I flipped the firewall over, I matchdrilled the plate to the firewall.

I supported it with a piece of wood while drilling..

After deburring the plate, I marked and drilled the two holes for the brake lines.

..dipped some cutting lubricant on them.

…then enlarged them to 7/16″ using my unibit at low speed.

After that I matchdrilled everything, also the firewall recess.

I also cut this hole…

For the brake fluid resevoir.

Everything is now matchdrilled.

Finally I started countersinking the parts that will mate the firewall dimples. Almost done..
