So, all the kits arrived yesterday and I haven’t stopped smiling ever since! 😀
Today my colleague and good buddy Niels and I, started out on inventorying the kits. It went very well. So far we have been through the empenage kit, the wing kit and the fuselage kit except the hardware. So far nothing has been missing. Well done Van’s!!!
Also, these kits have been packed very nicely, it was quite hard to get the wing and fuselage kits to fit back into the crates.
For now I am going to store them at my parents place. I will start off with building the empenage…
It took us 1 hour to inventory the empenage kit.
The wing kit comes in 2 crates, 1 crate containing the skins and ribs took us about 1 hour to inventory, the other crate containing the spars, stringers, ribs and hardware took us another 1 hour.

Then we started inventorying the fuselage kit, we finished it all except the hardware box, and it took us about 2 hours.
Tomorrow I will try to finish off by myself, and get the empenage kit transported back to my shop…
