I haven’t been working on the plane for some time now. Last week my wife, me and some great friends of ours were on vacation on Mallorca, Spain. What a great week we had! 😀

Tonight in my shop, I started out by removing all the skins and fuel tank hardware. I have decided to finish the wing skeletons before building my fuel tanks, so tonight I began countersinking the main spars to match the wing skin dimples.

I use my special 500 rpm DeSoutter drill for this. The slow speed makes a much nicer cut, and it protects the cutter.

I finished countersinking both main spar top flanges.
