During the last 3 weeks, I have been working on my wheel fairings.
It is taking much longer than I anticipated, but hopefully it will be worth the effort. 🙂
When I added the ekstra layers at the wheel fairing mounting points, I also closed the holes I incorrectly drilled on the leg fairings.

After that I drilled new holes on the rear side, where the clamps will not interfere with the brake lines.

With the leg fairings reinstalled, I lined them up parallel to the fuselage centerline, and marked alignment lines on the legs.

I then started trimming the upper intersection fairings.

With the upper farings done, I continued on the lower ones…

With the intersection fairings trimmed and attach holes drilled, I removed the wheel fairings again to install nutplates.

I also added extra epoxy layers as reinforcements where the intersection fairing are attached.

…and wheel farings reinstalled with final screws.

Finally I added nutplates in the lower engine cowling for the upper intersections.
