Since I can’t get further with the horizontal stabilizer until I get my c-frame riveter, I desided to spend some time preparing the vertical stabilizer parts.
First I prepared the aft spar and reinforcement. Especially the reinforcerment needed a lot of edge smoothing. Then I clecoed it together and matchdrilled it.

After that I prepared the ribs. It went quite well, I am getting the routines down. 🙂

Then I clecoed the ribs and spars together and matchdrilled them as well.

Finally I could install the skin and matchdrill it to the understructure.

After matchdrilling the skin, I took it all apart again and deburred everything. I also dimpled and countersunk the lower part of the aft spar. Everything is ready for primer now. Maybe tomorrow! 😉
