With the wings installed and the flaps rods fabricated, I could go ahead and make the fuselage flap rod openings.

Still missing a few minor adjustments, but its pretty close.

Before installing the wing tips, I wanted the ailerons installed for alignment.
I decided to prime and paint the control stick assemblies, along with the aileron wing bellcranks.
The steel parts are powdercoated from Vans, but it has started to rust a little bit on the edges where the coating is thin.
I nice coat of epoxy primer and topcoat should do the trick..

One of the aileron bellcranks reinstalled.

…and the control stick assembly in place. Hopefully for good. 😉

I installed the ailerons, and was quite amazed that it all lined up almost perfectly, without further adjustments of the control tubes.
Those initial adjustment figures from Vans are spot-on!

With the ailerons on, I fitted and matchdrilled the wing tips. It took a lot of trimming and finetuning, before I was happy with the fit, and it still needs a bit of filler here and there.

The wing tips needs an alu rib at the aft inboard side. I fitted them and matchdrilled.

After that they got a shot of primer.

I brought the wingtips home, and spent some time making the lenses.

After the primer had cured, I riveted on the ribs and began installing nutplates.
There’s quite a lot of them..

After riveting on the nutplates, I used the nutplates as pilothole to countersink the holes for the wing skin dimples.

It looks so cool with the wingtips, flap and ailerons all installed. There’s not that much left to do now, before taking it all apart again for paint.

Oooh, and I just received the news that my interior is finished and on the way to me for delivery.
I sure hope its gonna look great installed too. 😀

Next I have to finish my wing tip lenses, and install nav/strobe lights.
I also need to finish the wing to fuselage fairings…
